JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

The judiciary has a critically important and limited role in our society.  Judges must respect the responsibility of interpreting and upholding our constitution and laws.  It is a judge’s obligation to make the law as clear as possible and to remain faithful to the law as a guide for all people.  Equally important is a judicial philosophy that holds firmly to the idea that justice delayed is justice denied.  It is my belief that judges must act expeditiously, aspiring to the highest levels of integrity, scholarship and courtesy.
