Judicial Philosophy (Max 250 words)

Serving as a Justice on an appellate court is one of the most important jobs in the Texas legal system.
Integrity and impartiality are absolutely essential to the proper function of an appellate court.

If elected, I vow to apply the applicable law, whether the Constitution or statutes, to the individual facts of each dispute that comes before me so that the court reaches the correct result under the law.
I am a strong believer in the text of the U.S. and Texas Constitutions and separation of powers among the branches of government.
I will not legislate from the bench, nor will the source of any campaign funds be a factor in my decision-making.
